What would you be doing?

If you didn’t feel the way the do?

If things weren’t as hard for you as they are?

If you were more like your [friend, colleague, neighbour, sister]?

If you hadn’t ended up where you are today?

If your body/mind/parents/job/education was not the one you have, but different?

If you weren’t held back by your thinking, your fear or your lack of confidence?

If things were easier for you?

Do you ever think about your answers to these questions?

Do you really believe what you are thinking?

What happens when you ‘buy into’ the reasons and excuses that your mind tells you?

Take a few minutes to write down the ideas that follow on from these questions. Allow yourself to move away from the thinking and ideas that hold you back.

What did you write?

Can you make a list of the things that could be different for you?

And then, can you…

See the answers your mind is giving you as just reasons, excuses or ideas?

Throw these reasons away, or at least refuse to hang onto them?

Notice that these ideas and reasons can keep you from doing what you really want to do?

What you can do

Choose just one  thing to do this week (make it a simple and easy task) that will start to move you closer to what you really want to do/be.
